Neebal’s August 2022 BCAPS Star, Rakesh Kushwah, has always projected a great work ethic and is always keen to help his team members. Here is more about his qualities on the BCAPS parameters:
Being Curious:
Even though Rakesh is a developer, he displayed tremendous traits of a Business Analyst for implementing RO display processes, and his curiosity helped develop and automate the same for the client.
Example: Rakesh was curious to devise a new solution to lower the RO execution time for the clients. To achieve this, he connected with clients along with the BA, briefly understood the process, and came up with various scenarios of parallel processes which when implemented, would reduce RO processing time. Rakesh achieved this by successfully deploying a solution that helped reduce the RO processing time by 25% to 30%.
Customer Centricity:
Rakesh is aware of the significance RO modules hold and always puts the customer’s interest first. While brainstorming for solutions and features to include he always asks the right questions to the client as well as his team.
Example: During one such brainstorming session for the RO module, we needed to acknowledge all RO entries done on the last day of the month.
Typically, the process involved running RO on the previous day (as requested by the client), but Rakesh managed to come up with a solution that ran the RO process 2 times on the same day itself. This parallel processing helped with huge entries by enabling the split of the flow, executing the RO, and finishing it before midnight.
Accountability:
Rakesh is the go-to person for the entire team for any offloading of tasks related to RO.
Example: While the RO was deployed, Rakesh took responsibility for the entire process by being available for three consecutive weekends, ensuring a smooth flow and leaving no room for any complications.
Even though in the initial phase, we did encounter teething issues, Rakesh owned up and rectified them, and needless to say, RO proved to be a successful project for Neebal as well as the client.
Perseverance:
It was Rakesh’s perseverance that made RO a success story. He simultaneously performed the roles of a BA and a software engineer.
Example: As mentioned above, in the initial RO deployment phase, the team faced certain bottlenecks. Rakesh spent hours analyzing, understanding and resolving the issues proactively asking the internal team to schedule a call and connect with the client to avoid any further issues.
Stewardship:
Rakesh displayed amazing leadership qualities for the RO project. RO being a small project didn’t have any dedicated BA, and Rakesh took over this responsibility and acted as a BA along with a developer, ensuring the entire functional KT was done appropriately.
Rakesh’s positive attitude towards taking the team along has enabled him to bring a lot of wisdom and knowledge to the table.
Example: While explaining the RO module to the BA, Rakesh ensured that functional KT was properly done and all the points were formally documented. He also reviewed the document and asked the BA to make any changes/modifications wherever required.
