BCAPS Star, Shubham Aher

Table of Contents

Shubham has always projected a great work ethic and is always keen to help team members. Here is more about his qualities on the BCAPS parameters:

Being curious

Shubham was very focused and curious to resolve technical blocker for Remediator project. The core functionality of obtaining real-time responses from LinkedIn with help of search filters was not achievable with Java code. Despite multiple attempts, there was no workaround until the RPA team was approached. When Shubham was given an overview of the challenge, he promptly accepted the challenge and worked hard to achieve the result step by step.

Customer centricity

The primary challenge Neebal was  facing was connecting to LinkedIn without LinkedIn APIs. Once that was achieved, we demonstrated to the customer but they were not happy with the response time as it wasn’t instant. To resolve this Shubham worked further to optimize response time to real-time so that no lag or delay is faced by customers, and he managed to do this within 2 days.

Accountability

Shiubham used to promptly share updates with his TA and SA every day at the beginning and end of the day to keep them posted on the progress. Blockers are immediately highlighted to avoid timeline delays. The given task was achieved before the estimated time.

Stewardship

He has trained his colleague Hemchand (L1 support engineer) to learn python and implement various RPA solutions for multiple projects

Shubham shared his experience, interests, and more in an interview we recently conducted with him. This is what he had to say after becoming the BCAPS Star

How did you start your journey at Neebal?

I started as a fresher in 2019 and got the opportunity through campus placement. I have learned a lot in these last three years. The continuous help and guidance from my mentors and seniors have enabled me to grow.

What would you say has been your greatest accomplishment?

To be able to use my analytical problem-solving skills to crack complex problems. I consider guiding and helping others as my strong suit as well.

What motivates you? OR What motivates you to go above and beyond at work?

  • Interactive work and complex problems.
  • A good team with whom I can crack jokes.
  • Timely compensation and appreciation.

Who inspires you? Who are your role models or mentors?

I have had a chance to work closely with our great trio – CTO, COO, and CEO. They inspired me to take charge and make strong decisions. My managers Raisa and Ajay have shaped me well in my career and as a person. My mentors and teammates have helped me(still are)to grow as a developer.

How do you deal with stress in life and at work?

If I feel stressed at home, I play games, call my friends and make chilling plans with them, or binge-watch any sitcom.

While at the office, I take a short break, chit-chat with co-workers, and have a small chai/coffee pe charcha session.

How has your journey with Neebal been so far?

It has been a roller coaster ride with many ups and downs but overall it has turned out to be a great experience.

My responsibilities directly align with Neebal’s goals – we both want to keep learning and growing. And as the tagline of Neebal suggests, I too believe in making possibilities real 😉

What is your relationship with your team and how do they affect your work? OR How important is being a part of a team?

The team is the most vital part of working in the IT industry. They support you just like a backbone does. We work and help each other grow as team players.
