Neebal’s June 2022 BCAPS Star, Ravina Harekar, has always projected great work ethics and is always keen to help team members. Here is more about her qualities on the BCAPS parameters:
- Being Curious:
The team faced a challenging development task that affected a major part of the sales forecasting web portal. Several calculations for different tables in the forecasting sheet weren’t updated during the development stage. Despite being aligned with another project, Ravina picked up this challenge and came through for the team.
- Customer Centricity:
Ravina found a major flaw in the logic for editable cells; i.e, the future dates were improper. The prompt rectification helped the team change the logic in time before the client demo.
- Accountability:
One of the user stories that Ravina had worked on previously needed revision since the prior written code for the data object was no longer functional. Ravina hustled on this task after her office hours and submitted the same before the client’s demo, with accurate calculations.
- Perseverance:
The calculation for the tables mentioned above was a complex task. It took Ravina several days to come up with logic and test it for all conditions, and she managed to accomplish all of it while being aligned to a different project that was challenging in its own way.
- Stewardship:
There are countless examples of Ravina’s stewardship. All the SR and queries of the server/management team regarding the UI were addressed by Ravina. Before starting with developing any user story, Ravina discussed the approach with the team, even if the user story was not aligned with her. This helped developers execute their tasks flawlessly as Ravina helped them understand where they could go wrong and course correct the same before the initialization of development.
Ravina shared her motivation, interests, and more in an interview we recently conducted with her. This is what she had to say after becoming the BCAPS Star-
