Dhanush has always projected a great work ethic and is always keen to help team members. Here is more about his qualities on the BCAPS parameters:
Being Curious:
Dhanush is curious about new changes and business objectives. He has excellent knowledge about our new project and the sales domain. His curiosity reflects when he gives KT to other team members. He ensures that everyone is curious about the functionality and the terms.
Customer Centricity:
Dhanush is always dedicated to supporting customers at any time. He is always mindful about how the business works, and what factors have a major impact on businesses. He is always trying to resolve customer queries on time and also coordinates with the team accordingly. He analyses the customer issues properly and makes sure that the mistakes are not repeated.
Accountability:
If the deliverables are on priority, he is always helping other team members to meet the timelines. Even if it means that he has to put in additional hours and efforts.
Perseverance:
He is always trying to find new and easy solutions for the problems. He never refuses to test and validate. We are facing issues in our new project to validate the targets and actual values of sale. This project has a huge database and it’s impossible to validate it with sheets and DB as the queries are large. Dhanush has used his knowledge and has also taken help from social sites to write compact queries. Because of that, we are able to validate such a large target. The client is really happy with the reports as all the calculations are properly tested and calculated accurately.
Stewardship:
Dhanush helped the QA to analyze the project according to domain knowledge. Every time he is asked the same queries, he explains them with real-time examples. He always helping team members to test and also encourages them to work fearlessly as the project is really critical. He always explains the terms very clearly and in an easy way.
Dhanush shared his experience, interests, and more in an interview we recently conducted with him. This is what he had to say after becoming the BCAPS Star
How did you get your start in <engineering/sales/programming>
As a BSC.IT graduate, you can say I had a love for technology since my college days. Gaming and surfing the internet was one of the reasons why I used to love computers and why I wanted to explore the world of IT.
How did you start your journey at Neebal?
I started as a Quality Analyst and I was mentored by the likes of Sneha Lopez, Elroy D’souza, Ajay Devan and Arjun Menon, all of whom I respect the most and find myself fortunate enough to get trained under them. Later Pranali Sakpal joined Neebal as QA head, and to get to learn and grow as a QA under Pranali was the best thing that happened to me and every other QA on the floor. Later while working as a QA for H2O works, I had this opportunity to try something new with the BQA role, which I enjoyed till it lasted and by the end of the same, I had this newfound love of being able to interact with various clients and to understand their pain points and to discuss with them about the industry solutions that were available with us and how we’re open to understand and build a suitable solutions for them, and ever since I’ve been working as a BA, which again wouldn’t have been possible without the management having the faith in me and giving me the opportunity to present myself in a different role.
What would you say has been your greatest accomplishment?
To be able to get praised by various clients for my efforts and the way I was able to understand, address and provide support which helped them overcome the same. I remember one of the clients from an earlier project asking me to stay(and that he was willing to have a word with our CEO to let me be part of that project) when I announced to the client team about my departure from that specific project, that felt like an accomplishment, but the greatest one is yet to come for sure.
What motivates you? OR What motivates you to go above and beyond at work?
My teammates(Ajay .D, Sandeep .B, Salomi, Sibin, Vinit Patil, Nitesh, Deep, Ankit Konchady, Vinayak Prabhu, Deepak Singh, Alifiya, Omkar More, Ganesh Katad, my fellow QA’s Achal, Nikita, Priti, Jyoti, Priyanka and all of the team members of H2O works and Bacardi that I’ve ever worked with) the team have been the real motivation behind my dedication to my work. I feel that I’ve grown a lot as an individual by taking inspiration from their work and dedication towards work, once again *Ajay Devan* whom I consider as my guru ta Neebal, has been my biggest inspiration and someone I’ve always looked up to when it comes to taking ownership, being honest to ones own work, managing the team, streaming the workflow, humouring the team in times of pressured situation, always sticking by till the end of the delivery, never bossing around, always being supportive of one’s ideas and suggestions, and to be able to help the team even in areas which you’ve no expertise in(by thriving to learn and understanding)
Who inspires you? Who are your role models or mentors?
Ajay Devan, Omkar More, Sandeep Borate, Sibin Bhaskaran, Vijay sir, Priyadarshan Patil and many more.
What are the activities/value systems that made you achieve this great milestone?
Constant support from my peers and to be able to convey and to be able to get my suggestions and ideas get on working, seems like the reason why I was able to achieve this milestone
How do you deal with stress in life and at work?
By having some of the great friends among my coworkers i.e Ajay, Omkar, Deep, Deepak, Vinit, Nitesh, Vinayak, Nimish, Prashant, Nitin, Sonali, Vikrant, etc. We work we joke around, we discuss travelling plans and we connect more as a family.
What is the biggest challenge facing <engineers/sales personnel/programmers> today?
As every major domain i.e Pharma, Agro, Supply chain, Banking etc… are growing with 10* speed compared to what it was 10-20 years ago and I can say very few IT service org are capable of understanding and providing real-time solutions to their actual problems. Once the issue is correctly identified and a relevant approach is planned, I guess 50% of the clients’ pain point is eliminated here itself. Teamwork and having the right sense of balance among the team members could be the key challenge, if two people among the team aren’t able to communicate and understand each other, it impacts the work of each and every member of the team.
What advice would you give someone that is just starting out?
Be curious at each and every point of the project, communicate effectively, share your concerns and reasoning at the time, stop being afraid of what the team or management will think if you’ll speak up your mind(something that I notice nowadays)
What is your guilty pleasure?
I better not expose this 😉

How do you relate your responsibilities to Neebal’s goals?
I want to relate my goals to Neebals goals, but at times I find myself to be too occupied to do so, gonna change that, this year.
What is your relationship with your team and how do they affect your work? OR How important is being a part of a team?
