Table of Contents

Neebal’s November 2022 BCAPS Star, Rishabh Sankhla, has always projected a great work ethic and is always keen to help his team members. Here is more about his qualities on the BCAPS parameters:

Being Curious

As a part of PPM to Karma migration CR, there was a requirement to automatically capture default allocation for AOO, SDH, and CEM. Rishabh was continuously in touch with the Business Analyst to understand the logic for implementation. Rishabh’s inquisitiveness helped the BA document a complete, valuable, attainable, and unambiguous requirement. This, if not rectified in due time, would have increased the development cost of the project.

Customer Centricity

Recently due to security issues, Rishabh was involved in a call with a fertilizer client along with the DevOps team. Even though Rishabh was done with his input and assistance, he remained on the call for the remaining 2 hours to support the team and provide the best service to the customer.

Accountability

Last week, Rishabh had a considerable workload due to some security issues and additionally had certain tasks assigned to him according to the project plan. Rishabh not only took ownership of the tasks assigned to him but also ensured that he continuously reviewed the tasks assigned to the freshers, explained the development approach thoroughly, intervened while they were dealing with blockers, and followed up regularly with them for progress on tasks assigned and assistance if required.

Perseverance

Recently due to security issues, the DevOps team was occupied with multiple priority tasks. Since Rishabh had some understanding of the DevOps operations, he took it upon himself to perform multiple tasks, ensuring that the team functioned smoothly and the plan wasn’t hampered. He performed the activities in 1 week, which would otherwise not have been possible since the DevOps team was unavailable, with security issues being their primary focus.

Stewardship

Rishabh avoids making direct changes in the database. He maintains a document for the scripts and the dynamic queries written by him, ensuring that all details are readily available in one place and anyone else can operate in his absence. He makes it a point to regularly update the document for any database changes i.e schema/ tables/ fields/ procedures no matter how occupied he is.
